Exploring the leisure paradise Valle Isarco - Farm holidays

In summer and in winter of Platiederhof in Laion is the perfect holiday destination for relax seekers and sports enthusiasts - Hiking, mountain biking and motorcycling, skiing, sledding and cross country skiing are just some of the activities offered

The Platieder farm is an ideal starting point for various hiking: directly in front of the farm run well known trails such as the Poststeig to Ortisei or the footpath to the Raschötz where you can stop on the road in the cozy huts Unterpulg and Ramitzler and enjoy the amazing panorama view of the Dolomites, from Gröden Valley on to the Schlern until the Brenta Group. Guests love also Nordic walking in the wonderful forests and green meadows around Lajen, as well as the countless bike paths, while motorcyclists can enjoy the unique Dolomite passes as Lajen is situated right at the entrance of Gröden Valley. The grassy slope of the nearby Gasthof Hatzis is ideal for those passionate of airplane model construction; they can practice their hobby until sunset and have some breaks in the restaurant there. The largest mountain plateau in Europe, the wonderful Seiser Alm is easy to reach by car or by public transportation.

A literal paradise for skiers is the nearby Gröden Valley, starting point of the famous Sella Ronda with 1,220 km of slopes and over 400 ski lifts. Only at 600m from the Platieder farm public buses bring the guests relaxed to the lifts, where they can start an unforgettable day of skiing. Among the highlights of a winter holiday are cross-country skiing, sledding, ice skating, snowshoeing or ski touring in the unique Dolomites, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011.

For those who love culture, the towns Brixen, Klausen and Bozen are not far from Lajen and invite to varied sightseeing and shopping trips.
